Review of Michelle Obama's Book "Becoming" by Jenefa Kubua.
On the 1st of July 2020, Moncoeur Global Concept launched its online Book Club; MGC Book Club. The book of the month was "Becoming" by Michelle Obama.
Today, we feature a Review by Jenefa Kubua as she shares five points, she gleaned from the book of the month.
Here are some points I noted for myself while reading the book "Becoming".
1. It's important we find our purpose and learn to follow it through regardless of the challenges or discouragements we may encounter either by family or our environment.
2. As ladies, knowing the vision of our spouse and supporting it without it affecting our purpose will go a long way in keeping that union. Communication in any relationship is key. This is not to say that there will be no misunderstanding or conflict but reminding ourselves and our spouse of the mutual vision we have for the future will help to ease the tension at the moment.
3. There are times where one time or another we feel rejected, depressed or disappointed. In those times we should not focus on how we feel but rather focus on the people that love, value and support us. By so doing we'll get over the negative feelings quickly.
4. It doesn't matter whether we're light skinned or dark skinned or from Nigeria or any other part of the world. What matters is the people we have been able to help and the impact we make in our world because we were able to discover purpose.
5. As we step up our level of hardwork while working in purpose and sharing our stories by writing, we also show others that they can do same and even become better too.
