How to Help Your Child Study.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused schools to close and this has given room to home schooling as an alternative.
A lot of parents are home with their children and will be tasked with encouraging them to read and study their books.
Here are five simple ways to get your child or children ready to read this period.

1. Create a Study Timetable
This timetable should clearly include all the subjects your ward(s) learn at school. Make sure to space the subjects and include a time for relaxation.

2. Give them Exercises
It's no use if your children read round the clock without answering questions on the topics they study.
Exercises help to brush up what has been learnt, as it tasks the brain's ability of recollection.

3. Ensure they do their Correction
Children tend to shy away from correction, yet they learn very fast from correction. Ask your ward(s) to write out the corrections to their exercises and be sure to inspect they got the corrections properly.

4. Leave them to Study
The Children's study time is not errand time. Many parents tend to interrupt their kids while they study. Please refrain from this act this period. Give them space to concentrate on their studies and only interrupt them when they come to you for clarification.

5. Study With Them
Children love company, and it plays out even with study time. They become more interested in their studies when they see their parents study with them. Help them answer questions in a friendly way and assist them in the most difficult areas.

Imploring these steps will help your children take their studies seriously, that once school resumes, they will be the best in their academics.
