Rejection is not failure

As a writer one of the obstacles one would encounter in the Literary journey is the hurdle called 'Rejection'.

Rejection is a challenge that has either made or marred the careers of many writers. The feeling of not being published or accepted on a platform you have long desired to be featured on, or the unencouraging acceptance of the genre you write can be daunting at times.

Today, we want to let you know that 'Rejection is not failure' , it does not mean that you are not good enough or you cannot excel in your career.

The thing you must know as a writer is that there is no such thing as a bad writer. There maybe what could be termed bad writing but, there's no bad writer. You are a Writer because you embody a powerful tale, a story that can change the world.

One great reference point of an Author and Writer, who received a baggage of rejections at the early start of her writing career is J. K Rowlings the Author of Harry Potter series. With a lot of unfavourable circumstances of a failed marriage and unemployed status, it was just enough to give up on her writing, yet she chose to hold on and keep pushing.

Dear Writer, even if you have been rejected by one too many publishers or platforms, you must know that you didn't fail at your craft. It is still an opportunity to improve on your art and seek other platforms that would resonate with your art.

Don't also wait on anyone to push your writing to a wider audience for you. In this age of various social media platforms, this is the time to create a niche, a genre and a brand name to project your own writing. Publish your writing on your own platforms and others willing to take on your work. You never know when your big break may come.

Be passionate and resilient about your writing and don't give up.

The rejected work today may become the best selling book tomorrow.

Cheers!
